The Medium Shop Sack by Rivendell (Sackville) fits perfectly into the smaller of the two Wald baskets we sell. You can put it in the bigger one, but it will slide around and you’ll be obligated to surround it with copies of Murakami first editions to keep it from sliding around. It has no fancy, overthought features. It’s wider than it is tall, making it easy to load and access your gear without everything getting squished. It makes a nice weekender-type of bag, carry on, shopping bag, tote, you name it. Made with care out of extremely durable materials. Waxed cotton body and military spec webbing handles that will never let you down. We strap ours down with a John’s Irish Strap, but you could also buckle it in with those cheap ‘don’t use for climbing’ carabiners, or a basic knot and some shoe string you filched off those Chuck Taylors you haven’t thrown out yet from high school. This is probably my favorite bag we sell, super under rated. Touring, commuting, bike camping, coffee outside, there’s not a more useful, simple bag out there.
Specifics: Made in Connecticut. Waxed Cotton, no leather, vegan friendly. Big enough for a light weight down sleeping bag, food, jacket, 3 pairs of socks and a tool roll.
