There’s so much to say about the All-City Space Horse but we’ll try and keep it simple. All City offers some beautiful bikes. From pavement to gravel and even a bit of single track, the Space Horse truly does it all. Whether it’s an all-day multi surface adventure ride, an overnight camping trip or a short spin on your local trails, this bike is the one to choose.

All City is based in Minneapolis and offers an array of road/gravel bikes with steel frames. Their mission is to bring beauty back to production frames. They offer lots of little touches on their frames that you might typically find from a custom frame builder at a fraction of the price.

Why the Space Horse? Of all their models, the Space Horse is their true all-rounder. It’s certainly not a race bike, but it’ll take you wherever you want to go, even after you leave the pavement. It’s a comfortable bike and offers lots of mounting points for fenders or racks or water bottles or whatever it is you’re looking to carry.

The Space Horse Microshift model has flat handlebars (instead of drop bars), 650bx47 mm wide tires and a 1x10 drivetrain.

Flat bars offer a more upright riding posture while drop bar style (such as the Tiagra) offers more hand positions on the bars and the ability to get lower on the bike for more up-tempo riding. The 650b tires are smaller in diameter but wider then their 700c cousins that are on the Tiagra model. Wider tires offer more comfort and are at home on a wider array of surfaces. Think gravel, forest roads and even some mountain bike trails. Finally, 1x drivetrains offer simplified shifting and reduced weight and maintenance due to the absence of a front derailleur.
