Cranksgiving 2023

Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. It’s part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt, and part party. The 2023 Cranksgiving ride will take place Saturday November 18th!

Meet at Gravel & Grind by 10:15am. Riders must be ready to roll by 10:30am. The after party and prizes will be across the street from at Olde Mother Brewing (526 N Market Street) at approximately 12:30pm.

Description: Make your giving fun this year! Grab your friends and family and join us for a fun and challenging ride around Frederick. This isn’t your average cruise around town though…you’ll be scavenging food from various grocery stores while competing in the alphabet challenge to wind some cool prizes! You’ll have to strategize because you can only collect a limited amount of items from each location. All food and donations go to the Frederick Community Action Agency. So come on out, join the fun and make Cranksgiving your new tradition! As in years past there are some fantastic prizes for our top performers. E-bikes are welcome too.

Difficulty: This is city riding through traffic.

Tips: Assemble a group of friends (each player will play their own game sheet) and bring a bag, rack, child trailer, or some other way to transport food on your bike. Players will ride to various grocery stores throughout Frederick and buy items to check off their game sheet. The player with the most food items from the game sheet will win prizes! Be sure to bring a bike lock and $ to spend on food.
